Judy Colella

Judy Colella (1953-Present) was born in New York City. Her parents were unmarried, and because of the prevailing attitudes of the era, gave her up for adoption. She lived in foster care until the age of three, when she was adopted by a wonderful couple who encouraged her musical abilities. An avid reader, Judy began writing her own stories at the age of ten, later becoming a semi-professional story-teller at local summer camps. Today, she is a piano and voice teacher, Music Director at an Episcopal Church, jazz singer, and the author of over 45 books and short stories. She lives in Central Florida with her husband and three children, a German Shepherd and random cats. Her MacDara Chronicles series, beginning with "Overcomer - The Journey," has just seen the publication of Book II ("Overcomer - The Battle"). The remaining six are written and will be released over the next few years.
