Writing is an exercise in power through vulnerability.
I began writing at a young age, silly stuff mostly. Murderous gingerbread men, pigs on their way to a slaughterhouse, normal things a six year old would write about. Anyway, as I got older, I lost interest, instead pursuing a life of academia and wasting three years on a BA in History.
After an extended period of depression, I picked up a fantasy novel and, soon after, a pen. My love of writing had returned.
I trained as a yoga teacher with the goal of working with writers. Yoga is a centering practice which has been valuable to my writing.
My book, Affinity for Fire, is currently being edited in preparation for querying.
