As the founder of Scott Editorial, Amy Scott has spent over twenty years helping writers turn their ideas into stories they’re proud to share. A writer and editor herself, she understands both the excitement and challenges of the creative process and believes that every author deserves thoughtful, professional guidance without losing what makes their writing unique.

Amy holds a BA in English Literature and a Master’s degree in Creative and Critical Writing and is currently undertaking a PhD in English and Creative Writing.

Her editorial expertise spans Literary, Commercial and Contemporary Fiction, Women’s Fiction, Romance, Historical Fiction, Mystery, Thrillers and Adventure, alongside Fantasy, Mythological Retellings, Dystopian and Speculative Fiction, and Humour and Satire.

With extensive experience in both traditional and self-publishing, Amy supports writers at every stage, from early drafts and major revisions to preparing manuscripts for publication. Her approach combines editorial expertise with warmth, honesty and a genuine commitment to helping authors develop their confidence and craft.
